The Graz-based pianist and composer Florian Pichlbauer began his musical training at the age of six, which eventually led him to the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Numerous awards, including first prize at the 2017 Bela Bartok Competition and the “Aims Outstanding Lieder Collaborative Pianist Award” for his achievements as a song accompanist, mark his career.
As a composer, Florian Pichlbauer is represented by the traditional publisher Universal Edition; he has already composed for major theatre productions at venues such as the Théâtre national de la Colline in Paris and the Teatro Grande in Pompeii.
Starting in autumn 2025, Florian Pichlbauer will record a collection of classical salon pieces for solo piano for Supreme Music Group, using his own unique romantic-inspired musical language. These works will be released by Universal Edition at the same time as our digital releases.

New Single "Elégie No. 2" out now
Florian Pichlbauer's latest composition for piano is his 5th single for Supreme Music Group. The sheet music will be published in parallel with the digital release of the music by Universal Edition.
The opening melody for Elégie No. 2 came to me spontaneously during an improvisation at the
ancient site of the Teatro Grande in Pompeii, Italy, where I was participating in a theatre
production as a pianist in June of this year. Experience has shown that I compose my favourite
themes while traveling—and so it was this time.
